It's well documented that many people come to church seeking spirituality.  How much spirituality will they find in the church bulletin?

If the answer is, not much, it is because rectors are too busy to prepare this material.  By putting these cartoons and meditations in bulletins the church might be more effective in its outreach. For those interested feel free to use them in any way that might be helpful.

The concept behind The Rev Cartoons is to provide entertainment and edification for the readers of Sunday Bulletins.  It can be a novel experience for those in church to see a cartoon about the week's Gospel.  On the other hand how many people can resist the temptation to briefly peruse a cartoon?  Once there they might be more willing to take time to read the meditation and announcements as well.

The Rev. represents our spiritual side listening to the voices and responding to them.  The voices the Rev. hears are the same ones many of us have heard or will hear perhaps we have even thought them ourselves. They come from both outside of others and inside of ourselves.
